🎯 THE PLAN for Brentwood Nightlife Dining Concerts

The Mission: Catch Maya (Latin/Salsa band) at 7pm, explore Brentwood’s dining scene like a pro during one of the best Brentwood nightlife dining concerts.

The Route: First, Uber dropped me at the Emporium, one block south and one block east. Then I worked my way west for one block, hooked a left, went one block north. Next, I ate at Cap’s which was across the street from the park. After that, I went to the concert, then headed south hitting select places until I’d seen most of the fun downtown Brentwood has to offer.

The Result: When I was full, Uber picked me up and I was home safely, filled with what felt like a visit to Disneyland! 🎢

🏆 Pro Tip for Concert-Goers: I highly recommend people coming to other concerts scheduled here this summer who may not be as knowledgeable see this area the same way I did. Locals often refer to Brentwood as “Blackhawk East” – and after this night, I totally get why!

🍺 Starting Point: Brentwood Nightlife Scene

Brentwood Emporium
561 1st St. • Open daily 11am until “the fun stops”

First, I started here – massive place, totally renovated from the old dark Mannheim. Now it’s bright with shiny silver floors, two bars, 50+ craft beers on tap, plus 400-500 bottled beers in the cold case. Meanwhile, Sam the beertender was super friendly.

🍽️ Zephyr Grill & Bar

613 1st St. • (925) 418-4708 • Open 7 days 11am-9pm

Next, I checked out this casual fine dining spot, packed at 5pm (good sign!). The unique layout features a bar in front, narrow dining room opening to spacious family areas. Additionally, the menu includes pasta, seafood, meatloaf, ribs, steaks, and prime rib.

🥃 Crown & Crow

613 1st St. • (925) 684-7489

Then I visited this cute dive bar with great whisky selection and upscale garnishes. Furthermore, Bartender Sam told us Mitch (the trombone player we knew) still works here and brings his band to play. I had Larceny Bourbon over a perfect large square ice cube.

🌮 LaFuente Mexican Food

642 1st St. • (925) 516-2233

Afterwards, I made a quick hello to owner Oscar. The dining room was busy, and he mentioned the Iguana bar gets hopping later in the evening.

🍷 Coco Wine Bar

633 1st St. • (925) 634-9463

During a brief stop, I chatted with a wine enthusiast about red zinfandel tastings. Some things never change!

🏰 Dinner Stop: Cap’s Restaurant

144 Oak St. • (925) 634-1025

The landmark! This huge two-story beige Spanish castle building – you can’t miss it. Originally, I came for their new Happy Hour menu but arrived after 6pm. Instead, I got dinner salad and clam chowder – both excellent. Moreover, their sourdough baguette with crusty exterior was perfect.

Discovery of the night: I tried Ketel One on the rocks in honor of owner Bill. Almost martini-like, surprisingly delicious! Adding this to the home bar.

Menu highlights: Veal Piccata ($35.95), Seafood Pasta Del Mar ($32.95), Pepper Steak ($41.95)

🎵 7PM – Maya Band Goes Onstage! 🎵

Maya was on fire! Perfect weather in the low 80s. I found a park bench 450 feet from stage with great sound. Even enjoyed a peaceful cigar – pure heaven!

🌙 After the Show

🍰 Locanda Capri

301 Oak St. • (925) 390-5534

Former Sweeney’s, completely transformed with bright contemporary look. Bartender Emily said no spumoni but offered a great dessert menu. Finally, I ended with individually made coffee (espresso-style) with cream and Amaretto, plus limoncello cake – both delicious!

Menu highlights: Chimichurri Prawns ($19.95), Gnocchi Tartufo ($24.95)

————————————————————————————————

🍻 Final Stop: 311 Oak Street

311 Oak St. • (925) 626-5547

This dive bar with kitchen caters to a younger crowd. However, it was too crowded and loud for us at 10pm. Called it a night. Menu includes: pretzel bites ($9), wings ($12), fish tacos ($17), loaded potato skins ($13).

🎯 Bottom Line

Brentwood nightlife dining concerts deliver an unbeatable experience! Great combo of quality dining, craft drinks, and live music. First Street and Oak Street have something for every taste and budget. Perfect for a night out in East County!
