The USS Hornet invites you aboard for its second annual 1940s Valentine’s Swing Dance on February 14, 2026.

Step into the romance of World War II and imagine a sailor returning home to his sweetheart. That nostalgic feeling comes to life aboard the historic USS Hornet aircraft carrier for an evening filled with music, dancing, and timeless charm.

The night features drinks, dancing, and plenty of vintage romance, with live music from the Bay Area’s unavoidably swingin’ big band, Death and Taxes Swing Band—perfect for dancing or simply enjoying the sound.

Event Schedule:
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for drinks and appetizers
6:45 p.m. – Brief introduction to the history of the USS Hornet
7:00 p.m. – Swing dance lesson
7:30–9:00 p.m. – Live music and dancing
