The Contra Costa Chorale presents its fall concert featuring three beautiful works that journey from darkness to light.
THE PROGRAM
A Winter Breviary by Reena Esmail
A set of carols tracing a journey through the winter solstice—the
longest night of the year—honoring darkness and celebrating the
return of light.
Frostiana by Randall Thompson
This beloved cycle of Robert Frost poems will be performed with a
full orchestra.
Foundling Hospital Anthem by George Frideric Handel
Handel's final sacred work, featuring quotations from his earlier
compositions and concluding with the iconic "Hallelujah Chorus."
