CATCH & RELEASE STURGEON DERBY 100's of fisherman from all over the bay area gather every year to have fun and go sturgeon fishing. With 100% Payout of all entry fees some will win $1,000's of dollars and still others $100's.

PRO-LEVEL TIP Do not wait until derby day to buy a license. Lines will be long at bait shops. They will have no time to do the paperwork.

Entry fee is $25.  100% of the entry fees are paid in cash prizes (1st place through 5th place).   Additional prizes awarded at the Pre-Derby Seminar (see details below) and at Weigh-In are courtesy of our sponsors. 

All entries/registrations must be submitted in person and paid in cash at one of the two official locations: Martinez Bait & Tackle (Deadline is 4:00 pm February 3, 2023) and at Castro Valley Sportsmen Center (Deadline is 5:00 pm February 2, 2023). 

PRE-DERBY SEMINAR, Fri Feb 3, 2023 6-9pm at Pittsburg Yacht Club. The evening will include a panel presentation by the Delta and Bay's top Sturgeon Professionals, who will share their secrets for finding and landing Sturgeon!  The presentation includes Q&A from the audience. The evening will also include lots of great raffle prizes.
