Inspired by the avalanche of great pop music that's come out of Britain since The Beatles started that train down its tracks, The Dawdlers are melodic pop specialists, expert in the British pop genre developed during the British Invasion and then extended and refined by later Rock & NewWave artists & bands like Peter Gabriel, Squeeze, Elvis Costello, The Police/Sting, SplitEnz/Crowded House, Paul Young, INXS, Men at Work, Radiohead, Coldplay and Keane.

TheDawdlers also play many complementary tunes by American artists like Cheap Trick, MarshallCrenshaw, Kacey Musgraves, Los Lobos, Amy Winehouse, The Stray Cats, The Pretenders, Shawn Colvin, Hall & Oates, John Mayer, Prince and Guster (even do one by The Monkees and a few classic rock songs!).

The band is perhaps best known now for its list of songs that people don’t hear elsewhere and forgot they loved!
