The band is laden with throwback influences, faithful
replications, and generic conformity, but there’s a sense of
raging urgency—a distinctly contemporary urgency—that refuses
such easy classification. The group’s influences are easy to
pinpoint—Chuck Berry, Eddie Cochran, Carl Perkins et al.—but the
group also recalls Freddie King, Bo Diddley, Link Wray, and 50's
rockabilly. People will fill the floor with the constant moving
and sliding of dancing shoes! Derek released his debut CD April
2016 and in August 2016 Derek won a North Bay Bohemian Music
Award (his second).
